At the time this album was recorded (January 1975), the band Quiet Sun had been broken up for four years. It was reunited by Manzanera to record a track for his first solo album, Diamond Head. The band took the opportunity of those sessions, and the studio time booked by Manzanera, to record some of their old material and release it on an album. This is a new 2026 mix, using the original 24 track analogue tapes.

Quiet Sun was Phil Manzanera, Bill MacCormick, Dave Jarrett and Charles Hayward. This album also features Brian Eno and Ian MacCormick (aka Ian MacDonald).
