Web Ordering

Ordering through our website is secure and easy. Our online ordering system requires the use of cookies in your web browser in order to keep track of the items that you have ordered, so please make sure that your browser supports cookies and that they are enabled.

Prices

We are not responsible for pricing errors, including pricing errors caused by our shopping cart software. Prices/policies in our internal system take precedence over any prices listed on our website. If you are in doubt about any sale and/or price, please feel free to contact us.

Occasionally, some users experience problems ordering through our on-line system. As you are placing your order, please be sure to read all directions for placing and completing your order.

Other steps you can take to correct these problems:
1. Be sure that cookies are enabled in your web browser.
2. Try clearing your browser's disk cache.
If you continue to have problems, try using a different computer (your computer at home vs your computer at work). Some combinations of computer, operating system, and ISP will cause random problems.

Packages are sent 1st Class/Priority Mail via U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and United Parcel Service (UPS). Parasol selects the appropriate shipper for each outgoing package based upon speed and cost of delivery.

Parasol refuses to send any of its parcels by 4th Class mail with the US Postal Service. The low cost of 4th Class mail directly translates into low service and we believe that both you and your records deserve better.

Please let us know if you have special shipping needs. Sorry, UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes. If you would like your order shipped C.O.D. by UPS, there will be an additional charge of $8.50.

The added security of insured shipping is available to many countries for a slight additional fee.

If necessary, your order will be adjusted to account for shipping. If you have paid more than is required, we will either include additional records from your “Alternates” list or issue you a Parasol Credit Slip to resolve the difference. Similarly, if you have underpaid for shipping, items will be deleted from your order to account for the shortage.

Jewel Cases: Many international customers save a significant amount of money on postage by having CDs sent without their plastic jewel cases (just the disc/artwork). The following table outlines the typical shipping cost of sending 10 CDs with or without jewel cases to various countries:

Tax

Illinois Residents’ Sales Tax: If you are a resident of Illinois, you must include sales tax of 7.50% with your payment. To figure your tax, multiply your subtotal by 0.075. Add the sales tax to your subtotal and then add your shipping charges.

Method Of Payment: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, personal checks (which may take a while to clear our bank), money orders (international money orders must be made in US dollars), cash (sent at your own risk), and Paypal (parasol@parasol.com.) Please make everything payable to Parasol.


We now also accept payments by PayPal. If you wish to use this option, please let us know when you place your order.

Credit Slips

A Parasol Credit Slip is issued when customer overpayment is received for items that are out of stock. These Credit Slips never expire.

To minimize the likelihood of obtaining a credit slip due to overpayment, please include alternate choices when ordering. Due to the limited availability of many of the releases that we carry, it is recommended that you list one or two alternate titles with your order.
