Let It Ride is the third album from Illinois singer-songwriter Angie Heaton, a former member of Corndolly, Liquorette, and Tractor Kings. She has two previous solo releases, Calamities And Restitution from 1996 and Sparkle from 1998. Angie's music is a kaleidoscope of influences, her albums lovingly assembled scrapbooks filled with torn pages from yearbooks and journals, concert tickets worn down from the washing machine, dog-eared photos of backyard parties and summer vacations. Every song Angie writes is a love letter that never got mailed, a list of hopeful New Year's resolutions, diary-personal, fragile, beautiful, and real. Angie’s songs are about crushes and death… and being crushed to death, while her phrasing falls comfortably behind the beat like Willie Nelson, with a voice recalling Lucinda Williams and Neko Case . Let It Ride was recorded over the span of three years and features guest appearances from Ric Menck (Velvet Crush, Matthew Sweet, The Tyde), Parasol labelmate Neilson Hubbard, and cowgirl pals from both Coasts: NYC rocker-girl L.P. and Los Angeles indie-songstress Gina Villalobos. 11 songs including a cover of the Cheap Trick classic “Downed.”

One great gal, four great chords... let it ride!

Past praise for Angie's work:

"Angie Heaton makes…a nice eclectic album that goes through almost as many styles as Guided By Voices does beers during a typical concert. Playing stylistic roulette is actually a very shrewd move on Heaton’s part; it not only allows her to show off the depth of her chops, but it helps reduce the chances of her being pigeonholed as the next Phair/Harvey/Amos by rock critics. Anyone who can write pop songs, rave-up ballads, and dirges as well as Heaton doesn’t deserve to get stuck being called the next anybody." - Magnet

"Angie Heaton showcases her own charming skills as a cowgirl diva" - New York Press

"Her sharp sense of humor, melodic deftness, and cow-punk verve are hot enough to pop her out of the corn belt" - Entertainment Weekly
