Viva is the debut
from Hispana Tim, a 3-piece band from Melbourne, Australia.
Fronted by Tim Best, formerly the singer/guitarist from
Girl Of The World, Hispana Tim play catchy pop songs with
tons of reverb-drenched guitar and great vocals about girls.
Tim's singing
and lyrics are wonderful. As guitars leap and cymbals crash,
the vocals flow comfortably in between the two. Due largely
to the stunning production of Simon Grounds, Viva has the
distinction of sounding as glossy and polished as it's
songs.
Girl Of The World
released a CD and two singles on Parasol and one single
on Heaven Records (UK). Tim's old band-mates have also
formed new bands, The Cat's Miaow and Pencil Tin, which
have landed records on Quiddity (US), and Wurlitzer Jukebox
(UK).
