"This is some of the most impressive post-Loveless rock in years." - All Music Guide

" Under And In" is the brilliant debut by two key figures in the Champaign-Urbana rock scene - Tim Lash (of Hum) and T.J. Harrison (of Lovecup) - teaming up under the name Glifted. This great album lives up to the high expectations set for the duo with a hypnotic blend of disembodied voices, swelling guitars, and looping percussion.

A headswimming collision of sound that comes highly recommended to mourners of guitarrorists My Bloody Valentine and Seefeel, as well as worshippers of the evocative crush of musical innovation. Through Hum, Tim's guitar work has influenced numerous heavy hitters in search of the perfect riff like The Deftones. Through touring, Hum formed a musical kinship with Mercury Rev. Somehow "Under And In" straddles the line between both musical realms.

It's heavy and overwhelming. It's cinematic and sensual. It's a million tiny exploding universes. And it's better than I ever could have conceived.

I don't mean to oversell this, but I truly hear this as one of those great, transfixing GUITAR albums destined to influence forthcoming albums. It's that good! Highly recommended to fans of Hum, Lovecup, My Bloody Valentine, Seefeel, Mercury Rev, Polvo, Castor, Twin Princess, Flying Saucer Attack, Mice Parade, Guitar, M83, etc.

" Every now and then a band will release a record that will send their peers back to the drawing board. Truly one of the most innovative debuts in years, Glifted’s Under and In is one of those records. Similar to the hip-hop philosophy of building samples to rhyme over, Glifted – the musical duo of ex-Hum guitar virtuoso Tim Lash and former Lovecup bassist TJ Harrison – “clip and flip” their own music to create unorthodox loop foundations that anchor their shimmering yet complex fuzz concertos. (Think writing a song over a skipping record.) The end results are a beautifully magnificent and powerful orchestra of sparse drumming, plodding loops, and rumbling bass melodies, surrounded by Lash’s aerial guitar sirens which seem to attack from all angles while his ghostly harmonies echo in the halls built by Glifted’s melting walls of sound. Glifted’s closest kinship is probably to My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless, but the superior musicianship of Lash and Harrison coupled with a massive bottom end show the band taking that sound into a twisted new dimension. Under and In is a masterful album that is full of catchy tunes and sonic landscapes that come together for the experience of a complete stimulant. Start dusting off your drawing boards."
